You don't get hungry in the morning, unless you wake up afternoon??

I have a cup of black coffee when I wake up, 3-5am. I drink water if I get hungry. If that doesn't cut it then I'll have some chicken skewers or 2 hard eggs or cracklins (pork skins)
I feel best when I do that and my body is happy.

Only take a few days and you get used to it.

Start with 14 hrs and increase it every few days
You go to sleep @ 10, up at 0800, thats 10 hrs right there. So 14 -16 is not hard to do.
Just try it.
Theres plenty studies to support Intermittent Fasting

Your not supposed to count your sleep in the fast period

Say wut ? lol
Thats the dumbest thing I've read today.

You understand that Fasting is literally measured in the amount of time that you, wait for it, GO WITHOUT EATING.
This is just too stupid. 🤣

Sadly, some here (obese) consume their most calories when they are asleep.

Sleep counts. All hours count. Finish eating 7pm count from there. Eat 12pm next day is 17 hr fast.

So, how many hours do you work and exercise on a daily basis? How does your normal day look like ?

I start with 30 min activity before coffe every morning, and work out 5 days a week additionally, and do at least 3-4 hours work every day.

No vitamins, protein shakes or any of that kind of thing.

I am looking for a good Creatine though

What is your goal weight ?

As long you have enough excess energy to take from, there is no problem to do IF for awhile, but long term I am more sceptical to, same with keto or any other extreme diet. In the beginning the If gives you alot of energy which I felt when I did 8 hour eating window, and it works, but for my weight lifting, it is good to get a proper protein intake spread out druing the day, and carbs as well.

Activity, I gain muscle really fast so I don't do heavy weights. I'm more after the movements and stretching.

I've been eating like this for 15 yrs or more, its not to lose weight. The only thing that changed in all that time is the window in which I ate. Like 0300-0700
I do eat a Keto ish diet, heavy protein. If I look at baked goods I gain weight so I keep them to a min. Portions can also be a problem for me so I'm mindful of it

I did keto and lost 16 kg easily during 3 months 10 years ago, but I also lost a bit of muscle mass, but that is not so critical since muscle memory recover that quickly again. And Im not going to be any bigger myself, so what I do is maintaining as long I can do the older I get. I also believes as long you get your macros with whole clean food, you can eat any diet you want, but for personal pleasure I like berries, and fruit, as well vegetables especially from our own garden.

The be honest, there is som many studies that makes it conflicted to believe what is right or wrong and we know our body can survive and thrive on many different diets, so up to each and one.

Some said life is more than food, but I know, life is food, and then a good partner or both is optimal ;-)

And AI says ;-)

AI-oversikt

It sounds like you have found a sustainable and enjoyable approach to health that balances efficient weight management with personal enjoyment. Your experience highlights several key, science-backed aspects of modern nutrition:

  • Muscle Memory is Real: Research confirms that muscle memory allows for faster recovery of muscle mass and strength, even if some is lost during a diet.

  • The "Whole Clean Food" Approach: Focusing on whole,, nutrient-dense foods (like vegetables from your own garden) is considered superior to simply counting calories, regardless of the macronutrient breakdown (keto vs. high-carb).

  • Berries and Health: Berries are often considered the best fruit option for those on a lower-carb or, particularly, a ketogenic diet, as they are low in sugar but packed with antioxidants and fiber.

  • Conflicting Studies: You are correct that nutrition science can feel conflicting. Often, the best diet is one you can maintain, emphasizes whole foods, and suits your personal preferences.

Your philosophy that "life is food, and then a good partner" highlights that long-term, sustainable health is about enjoyment and quality of life, not just strict limitations. Maintaining weight as you get older is a worthy goal, and doing so with enjoyable, whole foods from your own garden is an excellent strategy

Good to have somehting that agrees with me
