DC Solar Powerbank for a 3BB Router

Featured Replies

What solar powerbank would supply this 3BB router with power during our typical rural blackouts? The router doesn't need AC power as it has an adapter to feed it DC power. So the powerbank just needs to supply a source of DC power. Ideas?

What DC voltage and amperage does the power adapter output ? it should say on it somewhere.

those are the specs you need for your 'power bank'.

You can just use a small UPS, to power it, the cheapest you can find on lazada. Then it would click in when the power goes off. You could use a car battery and an inverter I guess.

TBH, I tried a UPS, but it didnt work, although you have local connectivity, the local internet is might be reliant upon power, if the grid goes down, then you dont have any connection.

Yes it only really makes sense if you have a router with dual WAN auto switching/combining and one WAN is a cellular connection but even a cellular connection would go down if the power was out for long enough
