Trump 🤡 did this ....now the price of everything will rise , regards worgeordie

  • I think this kind of increase is not justified. The previous increase was only 2 days earlier and it was already 2 Baht. Apparently the Brent price went down yesterday on world markets. And Thai tanke

  • Where did they get "US$198.20 per barrel on 23 March to US$242.91 per barrel" from? Even in SGD Brent is currently SGD114 and peaked briefly at SGD145 a fortnight ago.

Yep ... yesterday main Hwy 4 large PTT empty, smaller in town PTT, 91 only. Just drove by both, and all grades available.

Hard to believe people are (ignorant is too kind), this stupid.

INDEPENDENCE ROCKS ... solar & BEV, break the dependency ...

Moving to an EV will cost me money, no thanks.

Was WW2 accompanied by endless whinging about the increase in the cost of living?

I very much doubt it , once the ration books are handed out the price of goods becomes less relevant than the availability , This so called "war" is not even a month old yet, there will be plenty more tears shed if it lasts 5 years,

We just need to accept that $hit happens , and it always flows down hill, so tighten your belts and crack on with life as best you can, after all , our grandparents managed it

Depends on your age, driving habits, and if you live in TH, or somewhere that electric or installing solar is reasonably priced. BEV saves us lots of money, especially since most charging is done with solar.

Our solar without the extra battery, has already paid for itself, or will before August, so only 4 yrs ROI. BEV are better and cost the same price as ICEV. It really is a no brainer for most people.

Come August, electric & local transportation is FREE. Unless an oops, probably for at least, the next 10 years ... FREE That's about 35k for electric, and 25k for petrol a year, 60k baht, we don't have to pay. 10 years, and that's the price of a new BEV at today's prices.

You could have stated that, and save me from replying, as I didn't think you were an idiot coffee1

With diesel rising 25 percent in two weeks, expect your beer, food, electricity and nightlife to go up.

Trump, Putin and Netanyahu are old ass losers screwing up the world. And the MAGA cult are some of the dumbest insecure people on the planet.

How much of Thailand's electricity generation is reliant on imported oil?

Natural gas LNG is even higher so what is your point ? Of course electricity is going higher with LNG and oil prices skyrocketing and become scarce to get to the Asia market. Everything is dependent on energy prices with logistics and manufacturing and fertilizer. But if you are a MAGA you can just say “it is Biden’s fault” and go back to your cult bedroom.

Ahh ok... yeah I did not know they used gas too.

And the hoarders can consider themselves winners

Not really. All those idiots running with their jerrycans and water bottles. Let's say they can get 50 liters. 6 baht a liter from the subsidy, so they saved 300 baht. Their time can't be worth much. Even 100 liters is only 600 baht. Hardly worth the hassle and aggravation.

That 300 baht is 75% of a day's salary for some people. You think 3 generations live in one house, have 1 truck and 1 or 2 MBs between them by choice ?

A lot may depend on how far they live/work from the pumps!

Some folks need fuel for their generators, a not all have uninterrupted electric, if have power lines where they live at all.

Many can't afford a solar system

And if that poor, they most likely do not have the money to engage in hoarding. A price hike will now encourage people to be more responsible: more walking to the 7-11 instead of driving the 100 M, less leaving vehicles running and maybe a little less speeding and driving around without a reason.

And yes, I know all about the hardships some will have, I am sitting next to a person complaining about the cost of petrol now. He is however more worried about being recalled to active service if the conflict with Cambodia kicks off.

I thought they were just being frugal.

Small outlet near to us is selling diesel and 95 at 49.50 baht, most main outlets rationing fuel to 500 baht for pickups and 300baht for small saloons.
