Driving From Chiang Rai To Pattaya Via Issan

Featured Replies

I posted my request in the travel forum, but no takers for the return, "Issan leg"

My full journey will be Pattaya/ChiangMai/ Chaing Rai/ Pattaya.

I will stop overnight on the way up at Sukhothai, and want to take the Issan loop on the way back with a further stopover - maybe two - in Issan.

Any ideas for good places to stop? I will be travelling with wife (Thai) and daughter and her boy friend from the UK.

Thanks for any suggestions.

To give you some ideas on where to stop on your "Isaan loop", let us know what type of things would be of interest to you (i.e. temples, parks, nightlife etc.)? Also, some idea of how many days you have planned for the loop?

No Night life. Temples - scenery - culture - parks etc.

I am planning 2 days, one night, but can add another night, to make 3 days.

I will need half way decent accommodation - getting a bit too old for tents and the like, as one kind soul suggeted. :o

Thanks
