This might work and it may not. I am always being asked you know anyone who does plumbing electric ,building etc:

So lets see if we can put a directory together. You will need to supply your locality description of persons trade not necessarily need to be documented:

I am talking about the local Thai craftsman you may have used guys or lasses and were pleased with there work in whatever skills they have. Farangs are moving into our areas all the time and are looking for good craftsmen.

If the response is good I will ask the mods to pin the Topic

I can't post a link but send me a private message if you need to find an architect, an engineer, a carpenter or almost anything you want in Isaan. Our company (that also sponsors that forum) works with all of them, including people selling houses, land, businesses, making pools, etc. We also travel every month in Buriram, Surin, KK, Mukdahan, Ubon, Udon, Roiet and can meet you if you need any advice.

As I explained to Mac by jungle drums, we have a business section on our web-site. It costs 500 baht an advert for life, which makes it very cheap. Unfortunately not many people have taken advantage of one of my more generous offers.

Please my generosity is not well known, but on this occaision I will waver the fee for one month for anyone who would like to register. Itr is now 21.07: 37 the offer will close on Oct 18th at 21.07;36

There's a farang in Udon Thani who is making barbecue grills and soon will be offering hide a beds. I bought a stainless steel grill from him recently and I love it. Google Quick-Fire gas barbecues Udon Thani and the site will come up. The hide a beds are spring counter balanced and fold up against the wall. They require only 15 inches of floor space plus the width of the bed. King, queen or single.

Wouldnt think this will be of much help but i took out the the old Paxman V6 manual start [if you were lucky] at Ingoldmells beach road pumping station, replaced it with a Cummins 8litre auto-start when the inland water got high, [ run-off from Pleasure Island? and Butlins ] But if you are living on a flood plain, let me know, Lickey..

That's right.........................................he was the laughing policeman in the glass box along the front :o:D:D:D

Was he not the jolly fisherman next to penny parade, across the road from the bowling greens.

Is raffles night club still in ingoldmells? It's a long time since I've been there.

Chapel-st-leonards was a nice little village along the road from ingoldmells.

I have family from in and around the skeggy area and know the place like the back of my hand.

However as I stated earlier it's a long time since I was there.

Hi Macb and John, I think i was in Ingoldmells a total of 9 weeks to do the re-power at the pumping station, stayed in Skeggy with Roger and Jean/June at a B/B not 2 streets from the seafront, if we got back before 6 pm, Roger would say bar is not open yet, but have a pint while you are waiting, typical lincolnshire humor!!

Is Raffelles that 2 floor pub on the big roundabout? Disco/band downstairs and resturant upstairs, if so, it was good, our company paid all expenses so we ate only the best!!

Lunchtimes my mate would go to Pleasure island for a big Mac, i would drive into Skeggy and there is a fish and chip shop on the right at a big crossroads, best shop in the area i would say, and i remember the Laughing Policeman from when i was a kid, Auntie from Lincoln City used to take us to Skeggy or Malbethorpe in the school hols.

Just to keep on topic, If anyody has a big generator or Diesel powered water pump, ie, Cummins from 4cyl up to V16, Dorman 6cyl to V12, Detroit 2stroke variations, all the Perkins range, drop me a line, advice and pointers are free of course, Cheers, Lickey.

All the coast line I know well :

Skegness the night cllub at the clock Tower has burnt down now about 4 weeks ago. there were one or two good chippies in Skegness' Salts' on Roman Bank one at the cloak Tower and Raynors down the High Street, the best Donna kebabs were at ;Zorbas' on Wainfleet Road.

Rhinos night club and Barfly pub disco is still going I used to run the doors there with my mate Big Frank (Tongan guy) and the marv Bros who moved to Woodwards at Ingoldmells.

But I know where I would rather be .
