:D He better have a strong grip on the Lao Kao or one of his buddies will snatch it away and drink it down in the wink of an eye.

Good video. I found myself looking for landmarks. Is that around Kalasin somewhere?

I realize it could be in any one of a thousand different towns or villages.

Fun video,

However, I have never seen a closed bottle at a party in Isan.

HiHi. Should be a very secret special thai custom or very secret thai circumstances (for westerner), why the fun contents can not be used at the occasion

Any explanation of the secretly closed lid is appreciated?!?

Alas.. it's not from my village, the guys in my villlage have a bigger set up with more drummers :o We seem to have a procession through the village followed by the band and a group of highly intoxicated dancers every other week in the village.. :D

I just found the video while browsing, and gave me good memories, so thought I'd share it..

looks like a molam group that comes thru israel every year, and sounds about the same.. BTW, anon says that, at least here, bottles are frowned upon, only cans and the lao kao (cheapy vodka in this case) is put in emply plastic cola bottles because 'bottles can be broken and used as weapons when every one starts to get too drunk' (very few women, thousands of drunk thai men... never ends well)

bina

check out the guy holding on to his 'other' bottle as he is afraid it might fall out of his pants?!!!
