Still flooded, but the water is receding.

Thank you. We cancelled our family trip to Korat. We also heard a rumour that The Mall was flooded earlier this week. Don't know if this is true. However, we usually stay at the Sima Thani Hotel and The Mall is a big part of our trip. We will wait until the next holidays in March. I also noticed that the bike group from Udon is overnighting in Korat next weekend on their way to the bike fest in Chonburi. Hope it is ok by then.

Hi,

Just spent last night in Korat and today in the mall. Definately no water in the shopping centre. Main highway No 1 and No 2 clear all the way from Bangkok to Khon Kaen.  Did see some flooded fields, but all well below road level now.

The Mall never flooded, AFAIK, but the river is located right behind it. You have an excellent view of the flooding, primarily on the other side of the river. It was a close thing, though. Another couple feet might have done it.

Thanks for the info. We might go there for a few days before school starts.
