Cheap Accomodations Near Phayathai

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm looking for a hotel/apartment no more than 500TBH a night or 6000 a month within walking distance to Phayathai.

Any specific name? I used to stay in Soi Rangnam and there seemed to have many short term rather cheap accomodations there is it still the case?

In case you know of any place there with chinese speaking staff or management, please share the name, as it's for a cousin who won't feel very comfortable asking every plce as he only speaks chinese dialects

Many thanks

Luis

Could try Soi Kolit, which is right by Phayathai BTS station, the soi with the new gym on the corner of it - opposite side to the Phayathai Plaza. There are a few apartment blocks down there - I used to stay in the one behind the first gate on the left hand side of the soi: white building, 5 storeys high. Landlady is Chinese-Thai I think so may well speak Chinese. My apartment was 12,000 a month but there were cheaper ones in the building for about 8,000 or so when I was in there.

Also down the same soi rooms can be had for 7,000 Baht a month, a friend used to pay that much for a room on the right-hand side of the soi. Best plan is to walk up the soi and ask at each building you like the look of.

Only problem at the moment is the huge construction going on where they're building the new airport express train terminal. This soi is perhaps a bit too close for comfort so bear that in mind. But, on the other hand, this might bring the rental prices down a couple of notches.

Thanks Dantilley,

I asked our cousin to check Petchburi and Rangnam but will add Soi Kolit to the list in the morning
