Not Phuket I know but I was intrigued by the menu items in a restaurant in Cambodia that had a whole list of them:

Crap

Deep Fried Crap

Crap Chlli

Sweat and Sour Crap

etc etc

but my favourite was "fish stuffed with crap"

i used to take tour groups up to chiang rai and we were in the night market one evening when my whole group were in hysterics. i asked what they were laughing at and they told me to go down and take a look at a particular stall.

i went down and took a look at the sign and laughed. the lady then asked me "why you laughing? every day farang come, point at my sign, laugh, take photos and walk away. why so funny?"

"well, your sign says 'BIG CRAP'. that means 'big shit' in english."

"arai na? big shit?"

"kii yai" i told her.

well, the reaction was so funny. she told all her friends who laughed their heads off and made a big commotion over it.

ten minutes later i walked past and the sign said "BIG CRP".

just wasnt the same after that.....

restaurant in beijing :o

HAHAHA! "fresh immerse miscellaneous germ"

What's cowboy meat? Or, in light of BrokeBack Mountain, do I really not want to know?

Lol, love it. It reminds me of the crab themed restaurant in Surin called "Poo".

At least "poo" means crab......not crap.

:o

Uh, not really. Crab is "bpoo." A subtle distinction in pronunciation, but the Thai can hear it. "Poo" is a man's nickname.

Personally, I like 'Bum Haircuts' in Patong: clearly aimed at all those hairy-ar*ed foreigners...

And what about this tyre repair place I saw in Malaysia? Yup, that's what I might say if I get a puncture in Cameron Highlands :o

Oh yes, Germany. This July my son and I, passing through Baden Baden, chased after this bus in a state of disbelief, to get the picture.

I still can't quite believe it :o

I think this was in Phuket, or maybe Hua Hin - apparently an English School, where one is 'teach to think and bring the outcomes to attribute'.

Quite.
