I don't think there is a decent hotel in that area for that price. Even the Malaysia would be about 700 for a basic room and that is not decent for a family.

used to stay in Grace hotel before which was not too bad byt seems full all the time lately

Any hotel near a sky train station would do as well?

10 minute walk to the Skytrain.

Way out at Saphan Kwai. Many Thai families stay here and it is a decent but not fancy hotel with a very good mostly Thai food breakfast buffet. Internet rate: 1200 for a twin.

Try Jim's lodge/hotel ,, you can google the Phone # ect. it is small but clean and within walking distance to the embassy.
