I watched and enjoyed this last night, CITY! A Club in Crisis --- 1981 Documentary. An excellent documentary. I remember it first time round.

Watching it, I really felt for Big Mal, comes across very well in the documentary if not a bit of a lost character.

Took an instant dislike to Bond - I know he took us to the Centenary FA Cup Final in '81 - went to the game and the replay - but we never took to him, can see why, arrogant!

These were difficult times for City and that shows in the documentary.

The best part – it’s actually the worst  part really – is when Big Mal says goodbye to the players at the Platt Fields training ground after being sacked, choked me up.

It's amazing to see the crap facilities at Maine Road back in 1981 - modern day players watching this wouldn't understand that this was top level football.

Leeds and Palace feature in the documentary.

Watch it, sure you will enjoy it even if you have no interest in City or even dislike City.
