December is nearly with us and the ball and chain is banging on about Xmas trees [false ones], so far I haven't seen any.

Has anyone spotted any yet or if they haven't which places usually sell them?

i bought a fake one (very small) in central last year. im sure that tesco have plenty of them by now. its only one more month, after all.

Carrefore has loads.. Green ones at the entrance and horrifically tacky colored ones inside.. I actually was thinking about going for the uber nasty 2 tone colored tinsel version to really make a poor taste extravaganza..

Yes, they are everywhere now. Some really good realistic ones at ZEN at Central World for about 5000. TESCO has some decent looking ones as well that are considerably cheaper and lots of decorations as well. I bought 2 lovely wreaths for the front of the house for only 150 baht each. They are surprisingly nice for what I paid.

and add to that lovely giant models of two giraffes instead of reindeer and a plastic Santa with a wide grin you can fill with tacky plastic baubles and you'll be the hit of the neighborhood.

The trees and decorations were being put on display in Central this afternoon. They are on sale just outside the dept store on the 2nd floor. Lots of very nice decorations and trees in several sizes. I bought a really nice one last year from Central.

gotta love the bright pink(?) bears and tackiness outside jungceylon at the moment. i feel sick every time i pass it.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I noticed that someone posted in the Pattaya forum that fresh trees are available there. Does anyone know if they will be available in Phuket?? Would love to have one!
