Guess What Happend

Went to a tailor shop in Patong last Saturday and ordered 3 different trousers.

He said to me come back on Monday to check the size etc. on one of "my" trousers.

Went again on Monday and size was ok. "Tomorrow you come my friend and the other 2 trousers will be finished". he said. (i've paid 1000.-Baht deposit)

Now my questions:

What happened on Tuesday?

What happened on Wednesday?

What happened on Thursday?

and finally: What did I say to him on Thursday(today)?

Seems simple enough Donna...

Went again on Monday and size was ok. "Tomorrow you come my friend and the other 2 trousers will be finished". he said. (i've paid 1000.-Baht deposit)

Now my questions:

What happened on Tuesday? - Not ready

What happened on Wednesday? - Still not ready

What happened on Thursday? - Nothing

and finally: What did I say to him on Thursday(today)? - Give me the 1000 deposit back please

I just get them to copy my favourite Saville Row suit. That way I don't have to keep coming back for measurements and they learn a little about English style and elegance. It's a win-win situation.

Great idea;

I found it never worked.

Because they cannot understand "waisting" and the jackets always hang like sacks,

and like the old Hong Kong tailor joke, you are likely to have your new suit with the same cigarete burn on the crutch as your old suit."You wanted an exact copy ,Sir?" :o

Why not avoid all this hassle and just wear a string vest, baggy shorts, black socks and open sandels like I do?

Simon

Are you seriously suggesting wearing neither tie nor cravate? I can hardly believe my ears. Standards appear to be plummiting.

simon43, i think forum rules state that there shall be no sandals and socks on the forum.

:o:D:D:D

(of course, this is said VERY tongue in cheek)

Entirely correct, and i don't believe Donna said that tongue in cheek at all :D

Well, I reckon bare tootsies are healthier, less likely to 'whiffff'

Good idea Donna
