Train Station

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where do I go in BKK to buy train tickets for round trip to Koh Phangan? As i heard issued tickets are valid for train and boat?

What do I say to the seller...need to go to:

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanx a million!

Maja :o

any travel agents in bkk will sell you a train and boat ticket

They will, and make a commission on top, and possibly get the dates wrong, and you don't get a choice of seats.

I recommend you go to any main railway station, find the advance booking desk and get the ticket yourself. You may have to do this a couple days in advance during high season and/or around weekends or holidays. This way you get to select the best seat/berth which would be second class, aircon, sleeper, lower-berth and then preferably near the middle of the carriage.

You can also e-mail the railways to make a booking, and then pick up the ticket x hours in advance.

An excellent site with all the info is www.seat61.com

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! :o

As far as I know, all the seats are already booked in the Christmas/NYE period, give it a try, but I would set my hopes lower
