Is there a reliable Satellite Tv provider in Phuket? I would like to recieve ESPN and Star Sports from Singapore as Footy on True stinks. Any info would be much appreciated.

Astro packages from Malaysia can be purchased, theres ways of accessing without sub purchase also.. PSI sat and another (JSAT ??) were ok IF you knew what you were buying.. Avoid the farang guy in Thalang unless you want oversold claims and underdelivered performances.

There was a Thai sathack forum.. Cant find it now.. Domain may have expired..

Thanks for the info. A dealer in Chalong says there is a system that gives English Premier from South Africa. 650 baht a month. Do you know anything about this?

Sounds like the multichoice package.. Good rugby coverage !!

Multichoice is currently broadcasting on weak encryption hence is hackable for those that play around with such things.. Also no coincidence that its also rebroadcast on the many cable companies package options.. Thai companies just rip off non Thai feeds and resell.

If you want to find out what sats are useable, what bands they use, and what channels and encryption systems are used, lyngsat is the site you need.

As far as I know, ESPN & Star Sports have the same programming schedule for SE Asia - it's not a Singapore thing. Go to www.espnstar.com and see. In my case, ESPN/Star stopped showing American NFL football last year and it is SEA-regional wide; True saved the day for me by going outside of ESPN/Star and doing a great job of showing NFL games, and my American buddy in SG wants to come live with me the next couple of weeks to watch the playoffs :-) Who would think that Thailand - in this case - has the technological edge over Singapore.

Hi.. Thanks for the info... but I'm English and want the English Premier Soccer from UK... in English. All the True channels are Thai except for the commentary which u can have in English but all the build up and after game reports are in Thai. I already have Phuket Cable and this season they stopped showing Premier League Football on their channels. I have have now purchased a Astro package and get ESPN & STAR sports from Malaysia so I'm happy now. Thanks for your comments anyway I hope they will be of help to someone else.
