My step-daughter went to the UK in August with a 6-week 'Visa Student' well thats what it says after 'type'. It just had entry clearence at the top.

Following successful completion of an english course she started a one years MSc and applied for an 'extension/visa'..at great financial cost may I add, so that she could complete her course.

She is now back here, but will return to the UK later this month.

I see that she has been issued with a 'Resident Permit' and it says

Valid until... 31Jan / Jan 09

Type of Permit...Limited leave to remain

Remarks... Limited leave to remain in the UK

No recourse to public funds

Able to work as authorised by the secretary of state.

Can anyone confirm that she can leave and re-enter the UK on this visa.

Looking at what my wife was issued a few years ago 'Resident Permit'

Valid until Indefinate

Type of permit Settlement

I think she can..but dont want any last minute problems..

Thanks
