Thaivisa Wiki

Thaivisa is going Wiki. We would like to invite all our senior members to be the first to contribute to our new wiki website.

If you are interested to join the Wiki team, just shout here. You will be able to add content, make changes to the next version of thaivisa main site.

One thing that needs to be done is the setup of a structure/hierarchy, so any input you have with regards to this would also be appreciated.

Never looked at wiki before.

Just spent an hour bumbling around their main site. Looks like fun - however IMO - if public access is open 100% to edit all entries there is going to be a mountain of moderation & editing work. I think once articles are placed & verified they will need to be locked & edited only upon admin approval by taking comments or submissions rather than "open" edit facility.

BTW george - you gave me the keys to look in the window only. Tried editing a few pages to add some "articles" & that is still locked to admin and mods.

Have to love the disclaimer on wiki:

"If you are worried about copywrite or other people using your article for profit - Don't add it here."

All in all - great concept.

That's correct uncle Ken - My grandfather volunteered for the First World War because "it sounded like a good idea at the time", my dad, his two brothers and sister were there for the rematch in '39. My brother figured it would be good to volunteer for Vietnam in case he got drafted? I volunteered in '75 and stayed in for 15 years. All of us volunteered only the once and look what happened.

Old Army volunteer jokes:

Sgt Major "I need five volunteers, take one step forward"

Not a movement to be seen in the ranks

Sgt Major "Right, everyone except you five take one step back"

I do not see this as a likely outcome in the Wiki exercise and am sure it will be fun, interesting, and rewarding.
