Ok - gotta admit it I messed up JXP's thread trying to add in more choices. Managed all that but then couldn't get the poll to reset and allow people who have already voted a chance to recast. Too late to fix it I ended up stuffing the whole thing into the bin and making out I never saw it.

So as a confirmed Singha man I am interested in seeing what my esteemed Bedlamites prefer as their beer of choice

cheers

Tiger. Went off Singha because it used to be 6% (but now have the occasional one). Don't like Chang & too strong. Will put up with a Heiny if Tiger not available (rare).

Did you cast your vote because currently Tiger is sitting on the starting line without a vote :o

Chang..mainly because it's about the most ready available without the "dek serve" having to get the wave out & go & buy Leo. Haven't drank Singha for ages due to the next morning always having a dodgy throat.

I don't drink beer. :o

& if you believe that you'll believe the moons made od swiss cheese.

To be honest, i don't really like that fizzy cr4p......................but i'll drink it if there is no John Smith's or Guiness around. A man has got to feed his thirst you know.

Done (must've pushed the wrong button the first time...)

Singha is my beer of choice but I have to admit that it's a little heavy for breakfast, tends to overpower the eggs and bacon but it does stimulate the brain for that Sukdoo, Dukoso, osoduk. Sod it, that bluddy numbers game.

Okay, somewhat obviously I voted 'Tiger' although Beer Lao is a clase second! Both Chang and Singha give me minging hang-overs!

CHANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But only the good stuff, not this weak bare excuse for Chang which is rearing it's ugly head.

Would that be the 'Lite' variety ?

Mostly Heineken but I am not adverse to any beer.... beer is good :o

I am finding the poll results very interesting with Chang and Singha pretty much level in popularity. In my previous life as a bar owner I would sell 2 Chang for every Singha - large and small. Large Chang were by far the most popular. Tiger was a much smaller seller and Leo hardly any at all. For some odd reason I also sold an amazing amount of Spy and Bacardi Breezer (orange being the most popular) :o

Spy, I find, i a great refresher after a diner time session on the Chang.....maybe this post belongs on the "alcoholics" thread :o

A revelation about the drinks preferences... Here I was thinking that the ladies preferred Bacardi Manao (lemon).

No, it belongs in the Ladies forum, you fizzy coloured wine drinking big girls blouse, ya :o

I used to drink Leo when in LOS. Singha only if it was free. Chang? Try not too. Gives me heartburn. Tiger i like. Heiniken now and then. Always before Chang or Singha. When at home in LOS i quite liked Red Horse. San Mig Light wasnt too bad either. Here is Oz i have a great choice of Ozzie and International beers. Spoiled is not the word. :o:D

Same for me mate.

I find myself in all sorts of countries and often find that if I try a local brew or two (in some of the lesser developed places) I never really know what I am getting. One beer I bought in a pub in Azerbaijan called Xirdalan had a rusty bottle top still inside the bottle as they handed it and a glass over the bar to me.

SO I tend to stay on the side of safety (be it psycolocigal only) and stick to the things I know and trust, Heinies and Marlboro.

Looks like I have just evened things up with my vote for Hieneken.

However if I can get Beer Lao I prefer it,

But out of the "normally" available beer its a "Heine" every time for me

Never mind mate, you probably have been " spoiled " by your time there, pack your bags before it is too late and get on the CHANG. Trust me, a case or two later and your painful experience will be a thing of the past. :D
