January 27, 200818 yr Probably not. I don't even turn when Thai people call me by my nickname (only used by hubby's extended family and neighbors, so about 1/4 of the island anyway ) . Its not my name, I just don't hear it.

January 28, 200818 yr yeah. kayo's been one of my nicks since time began. With regards to me addressing other board members. Usually start with the nick, for simplicity's sake. Although as I get to know them better i may increasingly alternate to using their real name more often.
January 28, 200818 yr If it was somebody I don't know who called out 'Meadish' I am not so sure, but there are some people who I got to know through the Internet, and they knew me as Meadish for several years before meeting me in real life, and now use it over my real name. I still mostly use their online nicks as well.
