Type `o` Departure Info

Featured Replies

I have a type O visa from oz. My wife and i stay was intended for 3 months but we have decided to stay longer. My departure ticket is valid only for 3 months.

What are my visa requirements? Can i book a ticket for our intended return home to oz, then do the normal 90 day border run?

Or is a departure ticket not required at this point and i can book a ticket when ready to return?

What do you mean by "normal 90 day border run"? You can exit return for a 30 day visa exempt entry and depending on the border current policy not have to show anything to having to show a ticket out within 30 days. If you have a multi entry visa then you can just cross/return for a new 90 days with only the 20/40k perhaps being asked (but very unlikely). If no visa you could exit, obtain tourist visa, and return on that.

Yes a multi entry visa is what i have. The thing i`m concerned about is, my return ticket will cancel out within a month.

When i do the 90 day border crossing/return thing, will Thai immigration want to see a return time or evidence of a return flight to my home country ?

You never need a ticket if you have a non immigrant visa. If your visa is still valid you can cross into other country and return to receive another 90 day stay.

Crown, with your multiple-entry non-O visa immigration will not ask for on onward ticket when you do your visa runs.
