Blindingly put my Learned Friend, Le Colonel.....!

Prim n Proper, hhhmmm..... :o

No, thank you.

Yes, yes, all interesting theories and suggestions. It all smacks of an inferiority complex by the small letter people, who, adopting typical small letter people tactics, are now trying to suggest that the properly titled people have something wrong with them.

(Ping has baited his hook, cast his line at himself and spread the burley all over his bonce. He is now waiting patiently for bites. :o)

No no no Ping, its like the old saying you know the one, about those with big cars....! :D

You mean all the non-caps have really big willies? :D

Handwriting experts do suggest that people who use minuscules rather than capitals have lower self-esteem. Maybe a load of <deleted> but that's what a book I read on the subject said, at least.

In my case it was email usage that did it. The underscore in my name was necessary unless I wanted to be meadishsweetball which is a bit too long to be read comfortably. Now that my 'surname' gets truncated I wouldn't mind switching to just 'meadish' actually.

The handwriting comments (true or not) only refers to the written word not typed!

Tiggs - it's spelt 'Willys'... as in "Willys Jeep".

Evidently! :o

This one I did mean! I roofread it properly!

Yes, it was an illustrating point - irony.

The problem with toffee is that it gets around one's teeth. Very effective at painlessly extracting fillings.

I like toffy too!

^ I try to avoid them. Pretentious people annoy me - rather intensely. It seems that in many cases, the degree of pretentiousness is inversely proportional to the person's standing in a community but directly linked to the aggressiveness of their ambition. Of course, the very worst ones are those who (somehow) actually 'make it'.

I prefer toff-free!

Nice one Ping, hadn't thought about the 'toff' thing. :o

^ Never mind - the punch-line was too weak for the drawn-out preamble. I shouldn't have bothered. :o

Indeed, it is far better to be hard on someone else....... in all the possibilities that that situation may arise :D

Hey Ping, blow your own trumpet! If you don't, someone else will use it as a spitoon. :D

Let's have capital and non-capital sections. That way most people would be in one camp or the other. We could refer to them as caps and non-caps. And say disparaging things about each other!

Or let's make it obscure and refer to either 'north' or 'south' of the river. So caps are north and non-caps are south.

Hmmm would that put a new slant on 'capitalism'?

Only on tv though quiksilva!

I come from the southside just like you do!

I object! The thread seems to be moving back ON topic! :o
