The Phuket Asian Senior Masters 2008 was held at the Phuket Country Club course in Kathu last week. Taiwan's Chen Tsang Te hit a total of six-under 210 over three rounds to get first place and 480,000 baht in prize money. He was one stroke ahead of compatriot Hsieh Min Nan who scored 211, and received 380,000 baht. Amateur Surin Bamrungphol, who works for RADI Medical Company in Phuket, had the best result among Thai players with 212 for third place. Chucheep Nirat, was fourth on 214, while overnight leader before the last round, David Saunders of Australia, suffered a drop to fifth on 215. We talked to David during a heavy rain break in his final round, when he was actually in second place at the time:
