Sometimes You Get Lucky

Recommended Posts

Sometimes a person gets lucky, after ordering a White Fortuner TRD from the Ram-Intra showroom my neighbor and family friend (cab driver) was driving by the Toyota showroom on hi-way 304 and seen a white TRD. He stopped in and asked if it was sold. It wasn't, we got our deposit back and my wife bought it today. Funny how we asked the Ram Intra showroom to check with other dealers to see if any were availble and they phoned back saying there were non available. Guess they didn't try too hard, anyways the lady sales person lost face when we returned the next day to get our deposit back.

and your point is ?

How hard the car dealer tried to help me find a Fortuner TRD without having to wait months on order. If she would have phoned around a bit she could have made the sale considering its the same dealership. Sorry thought that was an obvious point.

We ordered our D-Max in say April last year to pick it up on 26th May. Now come 2 days before they say they don't have one and the factory is not making blue ones (how fuc_king stupid do they think we are ?). Within 10 minutes I had located an identical model and balsted off to company I had ordered with's head office as the local office didn't speako the lingo anymore.

Long story short but we got a black one and 50k off plus a couple of extra freebies and a full tank of gas. Lying toerags. It was obvious someone else had bribed themselves to it but I threatened with the press and internet forums.

Well TRD stands for "Toyota Racing Development" and have no clue how that is related to a Fortuner.

maybe coz the Fortuner drivers think they are racing, how many times a day do you get the fortuner front grill in your rear view mirror?

Why is it called TRD?

It used to be simly "exclusive".

This one is call Fortuner TRD Smart

Its a limited edition like the Exclusive however it has Toyota Racing Development shocks, springs, sportivo body kit, carbon fiber interior and 18" wheels.

Your earlier post & what is the point? obviously does not apply in Thailand (double Consonants only in LoS) & if that is what (your words "us Brits") think :o thank goodness you don't teach English to the young and impressionable children of Thailand (or do you?) Please don't say YES.

Nice car if you can afford it flaunt it.

You will be pleased to know I don't teach Engrish :D

If my memory serves me well the original post was about a Fortuner in white?

The dealer said there were none around and the OP found one elsewhere. If the saleperson selling the car did not get commission from sending you to another dealer then why would she tell you there was one somewhere else? She has to eat or is that not allowed?

If I was looking for a car of a particular colour I would not believe them if they told me there was not one in town , I would go and look for myself, which is what the OP should have done.

To say this is not common practice is ridiculous TIT my freinds. :o
