This was ACTUALLY proposed to the NSW Sheep farmers Association andFarming Association by the Federal Government and the NSW Forestry Service.

All of the sheep farmers thought about this amazing idea for a coupleof minutes. Finally, one of the old boys in the back of the conference roomstood up, tipped his hat back and said, ‘Mr Garrett, son, I don't think youunderstand our problem. Those dingo’s ain't fuc_kin' our sheep - they'reeatin' 'em.'

You should have been there to hear the roar of laughter as Mr PeterGarrett and the members of the NSW Forestry Service , the Greens and theother "tree huggers" left the meeting very "sheepishly".

Makes me wonder if dingoes are safe from Ockors, speshully the pollies.......PMPL

You're right Ian - for about two months per year... :)

I guess I picked the right two months then. :D Sorry I can't post photos. :D Although nothing to sneeze at, Bondi was not quite as good as a few beaches in Portugal, though. dam_n those Mediterranean women are hot, and certainly on a par with Rio! :D

Taking photos of the topless girls on Bondi is a good way to get frog marched to the local cop shop.

The local council has laws about photography on the beach.

^As opposed to being stuck working in a factory in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland or Wellington...

Yes, but when your shift is finished in Sydney you can wander down to Bondi beach and check out the topless beauties spread out like smorgasbord. Can't do that in London, Detroit, New York, or Hamburg. :)

Not for long.

No point in visiting the Gold Coast any longer.

Can't overstay at the meter and chat-up a nice bikini girl any longer.

Ya likely to be run in and charged with being a paedophile if ya take pix of kids, yer own even.

Anywhere, not only at beaches.

Typical of the repressive encroaching western cultures. No wonder Aussie guys visit Thailand. How things have changed since I visited Australia in the 1980s. They've even taken away the farmer and hunter's guns. Australia was once the last bastion of western freedom. Sounds like it is disappearing and turning into a nancy state. Sad to hear. I guess New Zealand will be the next to go.

You're right Ian - over-regulated and trying to cater for all sorts of political correctness. Who would have thought, ten or twenty years ago, that you could get pulled over and booked for being a mere 5 kilometres (3 miles) per hour over the speed limit - by a copper wearing a turban. Am I racist? I like to think not - but that does not mean that cultural values from a foreign society need to be indelibly stamped on our own. Yes, Australia is now a nanny state - yet Australian politicians are not only blinkered about it, they will blast you as being culturally insensitive (and by extension, a bad citizen) if you mention it.

There are many reasons why I am in the process of emigrating. The political and social situations here are part of it.

If you think the rest of Australia has become the nanny state you should try living in WA!

We have the only Liberal Party state government here, and they are fast tracking a return to the 50's.

No development is allowed to proceed on the grounds it might (horror upon horror) turn us into another Gold Coast or Melbourne.

For a city of 1.3 million people we lack an international sports stadium. (The first thing this govt did was cancel plans to replace Subiaco oval with a new stadium!).

The police here have been given powers to stop anyone in the street (without cause) and search them. Strip search if they want. Even the only Greens MP here voted for this legislation! (Turned out she was bonking the Treasurer, best known as The Chair Sniffer)

The only daily newspaper in WA is a right wing rag that exerts incredible influence on the voting patterns and thought processes of the brainless masses in the mortgage belt. The Rudd govt has given up campaigning (and spending money) here because they accept it is a lost cause for their re-election hopes.

Kiwis's Advised To Leave Thailand By Nz Government, Could be the start of new travel warnings for expats.

This is the highest level a travel warning reaches and now its entirely possible it will be copied by other countries. Travel insurance now void for New Zealand issued policies and this can also mean airlines may also re-evaluate options.

NZ PM urges New Zealanders to leave Thailand

English.news.cn 2010-05-17 19:37:44 FeedbackPrintRSS

WELLINGTON, May 17 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand Prime Minister John Key said on Monday that the travel advisory for Thailand has been increased to the most extreme level and is urging any New Zealanders there to leave.

The New Zealand government is warning against any travel to Thailand as clashes between security forces and red shirt protesters show no signs of abating.

There have been violent clashes in the center of Bangkok since Thursday between soldiers and anti-government 'red shirt' protesters. The death toll has risen to 36 and the deadline for the protesters to leave their camp has passed.

Key told reporters that the access to Bangkok airport is unimpeded and commercial flights are still operating. He is urging New Zealanders to leave as soon as they can.

Meanwhile, a New Zealander injured in Bangkok has been located by embassy staff. He was treated in hospital and has since been discharged.

The protests began on March 12 and a state of emergency was declared in Bangkok on April 7. It now covers more than 20 provinces, mostly in the north.

The New Zealand embassy has been closed since late last week.

It's a "Cover their weasel <deleted>" release.

After the Bali bombings the Aussie government issues warning for anything and everything.

Whingeing Aussie motorists :

The same thing happened to me in the 1980s in Slovakia, where I went skiing in the Tatra mountains, beatiful unspoilt areas, with my then girl-friend.

Was called to reception by a policeman, who said (in good English) "Excuse me sir, but you left your car-boot open when you parked."

"Did I?" says I. "I'm very grateful for you telling me, I'll go and lock it right away."

I pondered over whether I should give hime something for telling me this, when he said "That'll be 200 forint penalty, please."

So I paid up and my girlfriend laughed all evening.

Riewohldt being out is all it takes dude.

I refuse to take part in this conversation in case some arse&^% starts ragging me about the Crows (sigh)

Sorry - it was Koruna - forints are Hungary. (My g/f was a Horvathova, so Hungarian blood, but 100% Slovak). We travelled around in the old Iron Curtain countries. Outside of Russia and East Germany we were welcome wherever we went.

Just for you.

I agree, Nick is the mainspring of the team.

Not the same quality as last year.

The Saints are lucky to have a single supporter, I can't think of a single club that's torn the hearts out of their fans like they have over the years.

How about Freo? :D

There doing it again right now. :)

If we're going to talk sport in here, let's talk about the "White Leghorns", conspicuous in every corner of the country strutting their stuff.

Rumour has it that this is T.Visa team Captained by Soundman, with Jockstar, Migsy and sbk making a guest appearance.
