Linkedin, Xing Etc....

Featured Replies

As just mentioned in the usernames thread, I am registered with LinkedIn. I was VERY sceptical about possible spam at first, but after being there for a while it did not increase, except for their newsletters.

After having most of my CV published and some 30 people in my network I still wonder what the benefit really is. Those who are in my network I anyways know, those who are not, I cannot get the contact details of....so what the heck??

What do others think?

I am also on linked in, and to be honest the only 'benefit' I have had is headhunters offering me jobs.

That's kind of the point of LinkedIn isn't it quiksilva?

Its one of them I suppose, but to be honest right now I'm more interested in business opportunities than employment opportunities.

I have only very recently been persuaded to register on LinkedIn so I can't really comment on it's usefulness. Having said that I'm pretty sure that I have seen settings within the profile that can 'stream' you towards things like business opportunities and away from employment opportunities - it might be worth taking another look at your account.
