Grand President Soi 11

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a little inside info on this hotel? Their website looks pretty snazzy, and the rates seem ok - I know where it is on soi 11, but what confuses me is that there are 3 towers.

We are travellnig in a family group, there will be 6 of us. The ideal room combo would be:

2 bedroom Suite - one room with double bed, the other with twin beds.

1 bedroom Suite - with double bed.

Preserably near to each other - but that is what concerns me with the talk of "3 towers" - the rooms could be in seperate towers?

Also, is there a marked difference in room quality between the towers - i.e. in the amari on soi 5, the "superior" rooms in the old wing are like a different hotel compared to the "delux" rooms in the new wing. I mean one would expect a bit more luxurt and a few more amenities - but the old wing is shabby and old and worn.... barely 3 star in my view....... does the same apply in the Grand President - if so, which are the onces to avoid?

Many thanks folks....... any other comments on this palce are also obviously welcomed & apprecaited :o

I've never stayed at the Grand President, but the same owners have the President Solitaire right around the corner. Very nice place and very good for the family. It's a decent hike from Sukhumvit, but the hotel has a free tuktuk for you at all times. The place is really one of Bangkok's hidden treasures and it's usually where I stay when I'm in town. I think prices may be slightly more than the Grand President, though. Just my two cents worth.
