Hi Folks,

Having mastered the transit proceedure through Doha on previous travels im now giving Etihad a try, so, just wanted to know what to expect this time at Abu Dhabi.

I'll just go with the flow anyway and with only a short stopover I dont see many problems (hopefully!!!) but any advice would be welcome.

Cheers :o

Depends what class you are travelling.... if in C I recommend the Biryani and Champagne... if in Y then I'm sorry all you have is a small area, surrounded by Duty Free shops and a couple of cafes. There are however some 5 free internet terminals located near the gates Etihad use for their UK flights. You just have to fight the backpackers and Seppos off them. Make sure you head to the gate early as there is not a lot of seating. If you are travelling to the UK you will have to endure another passport check prior to reaching the gate however these guys (invariably) are very polite. I think they may be British Consulate Employees but am not sure... they are very tough on Visas and reasons for visiting the UK though. I have seen families of people refused access past them.

If you are in AUH for a short transit... well fine. Otherwise hope that the new building there comes sooner rather than later.

I would NOT recommend you to get at the gate early....it won't be open early to begin with and full after the first 20 passengers pass the so-called security check point. I wait people are boarding before I try to get into the cramped area.

Otherwise I like the small airport.

Next trip will be business class, where do I find the business class lounge?

Eithad next passport control - 2 lounges 1 biz, 1 first / gold card holders

All other airlines just before passport control after the 'rolling walkway thingy'
