Apex hotel nr soi 12, great grub and pool abt 5-800 a nite.

Good security, girls must check in with id and security calls you to see if all is ok, no theft, etc. in the morning.

I'm sure there's more like the Apex.

Rawaii ( about 1000 per night, but can deal)- Friendship beach, nice bungalows on the beach with pool and restaurant - call Starr (Canadian) on +66 (0) 9 727 2296. Nice place and close to a few good expat bars.

I've just got back from Phuket. I stayed at a place called Orchid Garden. 400 baht a night. It's a walled compound, got its own swimming pool, sauna. Run by an English guy called Roger. The place was really good.

I don't know how well you know Rawai area. It's near Don's Cafe, just off Soi Saiyuan (first left after the cafe. There's a sign on the road pointing out the turning).

I've even got a couple of pics of the place. Email me privately if you want to see them.
