Bangkok Paint & Body Shops

Featured Replies

I'd like to take a look at some workshops in the area of Khlong Toei that can do a few scratch removals and a bit of touching up. Anyone have experience with this and can give me a phone number or address. I am very fussy, so I would like to go down and check out their work first. I've checked the forums here, but most recommends are in Pattaya etc...

Cheers

Hey, the place is on Prakanong Soi 14 - the guy specializes in VWs and other classics.

The garage is U Preedee (อู่ปรีดี)

If you want his number i will PM it.

Chor Siam near Rama 3, does all the higher end cars, Benz, Porche, BMW etc.

Better, just try and find either a Honda or Toyota dealer with Body and Paint as their painters are strictly trained

to follow best operating/repair procedures.

Most of independent 'Fred in the shed' shops in Thailand the quality is very poor.

Expect to pay between 2500-4000 Baht per panel.

Kind regards,

Alex

That's a fair chunk of cash per car! 32000baht for detail and touch up! That's Au$1000 and if the car detailers down here got that they would be jumping for joy....or heading to LOS!

I thik you can get a whole respray for that (perhaps not a good one though!). I had a few scratches and repairs made under insurance - they basically replced the front bumper and one dog eaten side skirt, repainted one door and the hood. Looked like new. It pays to have first class insurance, as you get to choose who does the repairs.
