Philip when will you take it to the drag strip? Looks like some track tyres and wheels will be needed though, given how easy it spins the wheels. You should run 13's at least I reckon when you get the traction you need.

hey culicine, well actually im not to sure when i will go to the drags. i would like to get my triton further tuned-tuning of the lightbox to work more corsipondent with the megafire piggieback etc.....

and then i would like to take it to the roll on dyno to get exact figures and torque figures. the tq figures were my estimate, my similar to g-tec states hp etc but not torque. the number were between 318-330hp...so we will see...i am hoping for in the 300's then i will be quite content, but not for long either hahaha.

yea track (low profile high contact tyres would be great for the drags and circuit, and i need better brakes for the track, mine were like wornnnnnnnnn down after those circuit runs, although i did more than 2 laps... etc..., suspensions are defentially needed, everything beside under the hood is stock. )

anyways mind u this is an AUTOMATIC...haha..

yea it looks like a complte sleeper.... untill u are around it and hear the turbo spool............

yea the track was at secon, and dude some of those corners were fuc_ken tighttttttttttt. i seriously was like on the limit, abs kicking in, tried to take all the right lines which i think i did well in, but in the end the stock suspensions and stock brakes arnt the best setup for track ...though now i did upgrade my front pads to bendix thaitanium king's. so they have the extra stopping power...though not enough

well teejay and matter if you want some extra power thats fine, u dont go have to go the route which i went.... though i do tell u its bloody fun, and it makes u so interacting with your truck, esspecially in the wet, haha kicking down or hard acceleration in stright lines will result in alllllllot of fishtails and drifts haha, so you do have to be careful how you drive. whats the qoute "with more power comes more responsability" i think that was from gorgeos orwells animal farm haha....

anyways lets plan a day where we can meet up at the track and strip. i would love to take it out within the next few weeks

as for the grill it bought it in bangna trat . i call it mitsubishi evolution grill.

because the dakar evo triton has pretty much identical grills....atleast from what i remember haha... lets go shop for shit some time for the tritons!

I'd love to join you in the search for Triton power, however i have promised myself that THIS vehicle will stay unmodified...., for now....., at least until the warranty expires......, or maybe after I've driven it standard for one year....., or... where did you say you work??!!!!!

Nah, I have to keep it standard as my other cars are modified! But i will be interested in suspension at some point, along with bigger wheels and then maybe brakes.

Right now I am pretty impressed with your results - that is some power that thing looks like it is putting out! How do you think the standard internals will hold up?!?

Anyway, we gotta meet up at some point so I can take a look. My Impreza will be finished in a few weeks, so maybe we can head to Seacon or Klong Ha (BDA) then?

I am trying to get back to you via PM but i cant access the bloody messages. I think we will be heading to the Stryder Dyno on Friday 26th and then up to the Bangkok Drag Avenue on the Saturday. My Subaru wont be run in yet, but my friend and tuner is taking his Cefiro with 2JZ twin HKS turbo engine. We're going to the dyno to tune my other friend's car. We are just finishing putting a supercharged 1UZ into his E46!

Should be fun. I cant get free anytime before that.

you know currently i have problems with boost spikking and boost creep, between 3000-4200rpm boost is 25psi, but for some reason it keep going 25-20-21-25-20-25-20 psi..... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh first of all i want 30psi!!! haha

second do you have any advise where i can get this fixed, its either the wastegate, or boost controller or even the exhaust flow.....

but never the less hel_l yea i would like to come to watch the beast dyno and tune. cefiro with 2jz and bmw with supercharged 1uz..., i would like the supercharged v8 in the bm....it would be quick!!! and the 2jz in cefiro, a very potent swap, ofcourse when modified they are mad, at the same time they are the most popular here.... few mates have over 800whp on their cefiro

Ok mate, I've got your number, I'd delete it now if i were you.

You're right. The boost spike problem is either the wastegate or boost controller. Most likely it is the spring in the wastegate.

Who installed and fitted the parts for you? It's often best to head back to the shop that did the wrok for you first to see if they can fix it, that way you ain't gonna pay extra if it's a fault due to something they provided. More than likely you will just need to change to a stiffer spring.

The Impreza has been completely stripped, literally to bare metal! new paint job, full roll cage, new Tein MonoFlex suspension with EDFC, Seibon carbon fibre hood and trunk lid, AEM standalone EMS, AiM Motorsports electronic dash, FMIC, and full engine rebuild with a 2.3 litre stroker kit.

It's just got the standard six speed STi transmission and Brembo brakes but we have upgraded the clutch to one from ACT.

I also have a Methanol kit for it, but you're not allowed to use them at Bira

It's being started today (fingers crossed) so I'll keep you posted , but i gotta run it in first!

By the way, are you at your friend's shop most days?

yea about my spikking and creeping i think my boost controller is shit....fuc_ken B1000, sarb. i am thinking an apexi electronic boost controller, but from understanding, electronics arnt as stable as manual for high psi applications, like above 20psi, it doesnt work efficiently...??? from your experince what would you say? or i shall just get an orginal boost controller manual, and about the wastegate spring....for some reason i bought a 35psi wastegate, but i dont get over 25psi, thats only in first 2 gears, other gears are more like 23psi..... is the wastegate spring shit?? i should go back to rpd to get it changed...

and about your sti, dayummmm man its a track monster, and a daily driver????

2.3L kit, you should be have alot of torque!!! and what approx 500hp? all i can say is best of wishes and good luck!!! and drive safe till its an open road....haha, would love to hear that beast run!!! and i would only imagen it would kill my triton lap time at secon by an easy like 15seconds and its a short circuit.

btw my friend shop is in ratchadpesik, pass khnam phet 2...., i dont go their everyday. but i can defentially can go down though if u wana see it, though they not much beside the piggiebacks and other electronic and basic kits. anyways i did my car in turbo dynamics, in ladpro.... they did the turbo set up, but i outsourced the wastegate from rpd....
