90 Day Reporting Question - Need To Notify Address Again On October 25

Featured Replies

Will I be fined if at the airport if I don't report (notify my address)?

Not fined at the airport as Immigration's 90-day database is not YET tied into departure control at air and land borders.

However, you might be fined when you make your next report 90 days after your return to the LoS. Reason, because you didn't make the 25 Oct report date. Note, the +- 7 day leeway for reporting is just that, "for reporting,"

FYI, if it's inconvenient to make the 25 Oct report how about just doing it by mail? Send EMS and save the ThaiPost receipt.

Leaving and re-entering resets the address reporting clock, and with the 7 day grace period for the 25th reporting date, there is no need to do it.

When I arrived in the aiport the lady didn't put one of those 90 days notification things in my passport. Do I still have to?

Unlike when I renewed my Visa the lady stapled one in my passport.

Have never had a 90 day reporting note put in passport when getting an extension, only when making a 90 day report. To my knowledge the visit to immigration for an extension is not a 90 day report. It sounds like you may have gotten an extension (not a visa renewal) and did a 90 day report at the same time.

Yes, you stay in country for more then 90 days straight you need to do a 90 day address report and they will put a note in the passport saying when you have to do it again. If you leave before that, take it out and throw it away.

Sure about this? That's a 7-day grace period for "reporting," not for not reporting.....

The "not reporting" might be noticed by the 90-day desk when the OP does the deed 90 days after his next arrival in the LoS. Might not.

Not expensive to EMS in a report about 24-25 Oct or so, less than baht 100 including xeroxing.

As far as I know, when doing the 90 day address report, they only look at last entry or if no entry, the last report date. I have left several times a day or two after my reporting date and when doing the next report, no problems.

If the OP is on an extension and needs to get a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand, he could report his address a few days early, make sure he has his re-entry permit okay, and then leave the country.

I think I agree that the seven day grace period applies if you report your address a few days late. I doubt it applies if you miss reporting altogether.

I agree with you PB
