Par 3 (pitch 'n' Putt) Around Bangkok

Anybody know of any par 3 / pitch 'n' putt golf courses in the Bangkok area?

There used to be one at Bangphli, near Suvarnabhumi airport - does anybody know if it's still open? I've not been there for at least a couple of years - prior to the new airport opening.

Never was exactly the best of facilities but a good cheap option for beginners who are bored of the driving range but not quite ready for the full experience (there's nothing quite so sole destroying for a beginner than taking 10 or 12 shots to reach the green on a par 5 and with the added pressure of a busy course with other groups up your a$%e)

Failing that anybody know of any other similar facilities within an hour or so of central Bangkok?

Cheers

There's a Par 3 Course on Srinakarin Road - just past Seacon Square.

I've never played there - just see the sign every time I drive past Seacon.

Thanks.

Heard about this one but also never been there. However a friend did go there and said the holes were only 40 - 50 yards. The one at Bangphli used to average 70 - 120 yards which is more what I'd be looking for.

There are two that I know of and have played.

North Park - near the old airport on the left hand side as you leave Bangkok - basic and not too difficult

Bangkok Golf Club - more challenging and much more interesting, excellent par 3

Bang Phli at about KM 13 is good, and is not as easy as it looks.

I have a friend who likes Bangkok Golf, as it has some Signature holes for the Par 3 course. I am yet to play at BKK golf, but looking forward to it.

Update:

Bangplee par 3 course is still open and very good value for money.

Weekend rates (9 holes)

Green fee - 200 baht

Caddy fee - 80 baht

Marginally cheaper if you play 18 holes and also cheaper during the week.

good find. i just moved to this area of town and was hoping to find a course that i could spend an afternoon at. i don't have any golf partners so if anyone is up for a round then PM me.

p.s. I'm not very good but I love the game. it is always a humbling experience.
