But don't you dare publish my picture. Absolutely not. I invoke forum rule #2. The penalty is death; worse, being drawn and quartered. Worse, no chocolate for the rest of your life.

I got hold of one already :o

Pic of migs transformation after receiving the choccy pressie:

How did you get hold of that picture!? I deleted the photo I had taken of Mig from my camera expressly because I did not want it to fall into the wrong hands. You must have sneaked into my bedroom while I was sleeping and downloaded the photo from my camera before I deleted it. Absolutely vile :o

if you sneaked into his room once more and bring me the chocolates, I might forgive you Eek :o )

only problem is the chocolates probably lasted shorter than the travel time they took on the flight :o

thanks Maestro :D

Be careful out there Mig!

Fake chocolate seized in France

Wednesday December 24, 2008

Custom agents in France have seized ten tons of fake chocolate.

Thirty three thousand boxes of the popular Italian made Ferrero Rocher chocolates were confiscated by officials at an international market outside of Paris.

Tests proved the chocolates were harmless but low-quality copies from Turkey.

The fake Ferrero Rocher chocolates have a retail value of more than 450 thousand dollars, and will be destroyed by authorities.

Be careful out there Mig!

Tests proved the chocolates were harmless

........... and will be destroyed by authorities

:o aint that a crime????? :D

[imagines all that chocolate going to waste] noooooooooooooo!

Surely someone could have eaten them?

I want some.

Imagine how popular I would be with a few boxes in my fave bar.

If da gals love my chokks

They mite like to try my c*kk.

(Wunda if that is rude?)

Yes it is, I'm reporting you as soon as is practical!

I was never a big chocolate lover, I'd have the odd bar of whatever, but no serious craving. I once went about 3 years without any chocolate at all.

However, I have discovered really good quality dark chocolate, wow, now there's a treat! I also find I only need a square or two and that's enough.

20 grams of dark chocolate every three days is good for the heart. Eating more doesn't help but that square of chocolate every three days is a good thing.

I'm on a diet of as little potassium as possible as blood levels show too much potassium (meaning kidneys ain't right) but I do break it for one half ounce of dark chocolate every other day to help protect my heart. Of course one of the side effects of high potassium is heart failure in an otherwise good heart so I don't know if I'm helping or hurting me :o

ermm I think you are all starting to go off topic!!

Are you suggesting a Bedlam topic should still be on topic after 344 posts?

Oh ye of little faith! :o

when this thread was started some years ago :o

someone attempted to make some rules (either thaiaused who started it, or crow boy trying to be crow boy)

that was when I chipped in and added some :D

it said: you can only talk (post) on this thread if you were doing either of the following:

offering me chocolates

tempting me with pics of chocolates (that you would at one point deliver on! - addendum)

direct me to good places to find chocolates

:D

something to that affect

now the real addendum:

no negative chocolate bashing comments!

by the way - looking at the beer lake thread, surely you of all people should appreciate the devastation I feel at so much chocolates being destroyed? :D

First of all I'd like to apologise most profusely and grovellingly to Mig16 for posting this apology to human intelligence within her personal thread but this piece shows just how pathetic our own species is becoming.

The latest Dairy Milk wrappers feature a logo showing a glass and a half of milk being poured into a chocolate chunk, put milk first in a list of ingredients and explains that there is "The equivalent of three quarters of a pint of milk of fresh liquid milk in every half pound of milk chocolate".

But Cadbury says it is also necessary to print warnings in capital letters in yellow boxes saying "CONTAINS: MILK" in case people who are allergic to milk do not realise that there is milk in Cadbury Dairy Milk bars."

Cadbury is printing similar warnings on bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk Whole Nut.

Those warnings say: "CONTAINS: NUTS, MILK." Wrappers on individual chunks of Cadbury Dairy Milk Whole Nut found in boxes of Cadbury Heroes repeat the warning "CONTAINS: NUTS" four times.

I've no problem with health warnings aimed at those with allergies but honestly do people really need a warning that a dairy milk whole nut chocolate bar contains milk and nuts?

Yes I know it's all part of the defence against the litigation society but for fcuks sake why can't peple just grow up?

Is it just me or is the entire world going completely doolally?

Phil to Enterprise, beam me up I've had enough of this load of sh1t and that long dark cloud is coming down.

Sorry Mig16 but it's chocolate related and I don't want to post it any place else.

<edit : dang criminy forgot the source link : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...ngredients.html

>

Phil..thats ok

maybe this explanation will make you less frustrated?

there are many products that claim to be "chocolates", but in reality dont use cocoa in their ingredients at all.

so by same logic, even if the product is called 'rum raisin and nuts milk chocolate' - perhaps hence why they still feel the need to make it clear that it DOES really contain these things, and hence a warning is necessary?

on the note of rum raisin - there is also a chocolate flavour that is normally alcohol based, but cadbury has done a version without alcohol, and have to make it clear that it is 'ohne'alcohol' - without alcohol. so parents know the kids can have them too

:D

hope it helps.....

PS. ofcourse Im a chocolate manufacturer apologist! Im totally biased and all reasons and good intentions and morality depart me when it comes to chocolates. :o

I didnt even pick on the people that faked ferrero despite being a defender of property rights protection (including intellectual)

Mig, totally agree, yer rite.

A crazy instance in a similar vein.

Aust ice cream manufacturers complained to the ANZFSA because NZ ice cream manufacturers exporting to Aust, icream which contained "real cream'........ <deleted>.

OOPs, chocolate ice cream too, gotta keep choc theme.

When I saw this load of chocolates on special offer in the local supermarket today I knew I had to take a picture with my phone camera for this thread:

post-21260-1232468461_thumb.jpg

They are not the prestigious Lindt but another popular brand in Switzerland, not seen in Thailand so far.

Maestro

P.S. I did not buy any, so no use coming to knock on my door :o

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

...we need a party emoticon with something nicer than popcorn I realise. perhaps a choco-licious licking one? ...

When there's no ready-made emoticon in ThaiVisa's selection to express your true feeling you have to resort to a link to the appropriate emoticon.

With Valentine's Day coming up, there is this one, in various sizes:

Then there is this one:

and this one, if you don't mind telling a white lie:

Eat chocolate and live to a healthy 100 years:

Cocoa-nut grandmother aged 100 who munches 30 bars of chocolate every week

article-1161471-03DB9286000005DC-821_468x660.jpg

For as long as she can remember, Peggy Griffiths has had a sweet tooth.

And after eating 30 bars of chocolate a week for the last decade, it is a miracle the 100-year-old has any teeth left.

So that's what MiG16 might look like when she's 100, which will be in another 78 or 80 years: still slim and trim.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Granny's still hoping to find the Golden Ticket??

A tax on choc? Cos it's as bad for you as alcohol and tobacco? Is the world gone mad?!?
