Hi all,

I found these two different addresses for the Laos Consulate in Khon Kaen :

Laos Consulate General in Khonkaen

19/1-3 Phothisarn Road

Tel: 043-223-473, 223-698

and

171/102-103 Prachasamosorn Road

Tel: 043-242-858

Fax: 043-244-918

Anyone know which is correct, and exactly where it is located, I am not familar with either of these street names.

Thanks, lah!

Aloha,

Prachasamosorn rd is the one that goes to Kalasin, so if you are coming in from airport, you go over railway line, past the old bus station on left and market on right and keep going.

I pretty sure it's on that road.

The KhonKaen.com site has some maps on the area too Rex. :o

Never mind! I got it!

The Consulate-General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Khon Kaen:

171/102-103 Prachasamosorn Road,

Khon Kaen 40000

Tel: 043-242-858

Fax: 043-244-918

I have not been there yet, but it is apparently on Prachasamosorn Road (the big road where TAT and many government offices are located), about 1K east of Klang Muang Road, nearby the Jet station in an office that looks more like a shophouse than a government office.

Aloha,

Rex

Correct

From the Airport / Uni head towards KKN just go straight over the Midtraphab Road (The one that runs from BKK to Laos has Tesco Lotus and Big C on it.) Thats the start of the Prachasamosorn Road.

When I lived in KKN couple of years ago a mate I was working with told me that the visa was cheaper from the consulate than at Nong Kai.

Never checked it out, I just sent my passport to the one stop visa shop on the Ratcharaapisek Road in BKK every 3 months along with the form for where I was living.
