Mosha Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I have been travelling between Ranong and NST quite a bit of late, and it is starting to feel like phsycological warfare. However this one I witnessed took some beating. I pulled out to pass a refrigerated wagon. He was doing about 80 kph. About 2 metres behind him, were 2 idiots on a 125 motorbike tailgating about 2 metres behind him.
Swanky Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 That's nothing, at least they weren't hanging on to his bumper bar getting a free ride. Saw a couple of skateboarders back in the UK doing just that, crazy.
BSJ Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I saw a family of 4 on a motorbike without any footwear. How silly is that!
Mosha Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 Just remembered same trip. A guy cycling by the central reservation. Hand phone to ear while cars wizz past at 140+kph
Dave the Dude Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I saw two guys transporting a 2 metre by one metre pane of glass on thier shoulders whilst driving on motorcy!!!! They must have been crazy! Dave
monty Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Seen 3 gauys on a motorbike transporting a king size mattress. At least if they got hit at the mattress side it wouldn't be too painful
snowflake Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 A few years back I moved from one house to another, I had to use a honda wave to move my King size mattress... Nothing wrong with that. I only had one friend to help me. It was a good laugh... (We did not leave the moobaan)...
Cuban Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 About 2 metres behind him, were 2 idiots on a 125 motorbike tailgating about 2 metres behind him.Late at night two motorbikes holding on to the back of a transport truck carrying lumber on a rough but fast highway up country, only take a small hole in the road to take them out of the gene pool.I think I've written on this forum before about a guy buying a plastic bag full of fuel at a gas station - I assume it was diesel.
onnut Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Seen 3 gauys on a motorbike transporting a king size mattress. At least if they got hit at the mattress side it wouldn't be too painful 3 gays or 3 guys? the worst I have seen is a pick up loaded at least 6 metres high and a guy sitting on top. the pick up must of been doing 80KPH.
kartman Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 A small lorry loaded so high with scrap, heavy items at the top that when it encoutered the 3 inch step from dirt road to tarmac it fell onto its side.
Sarge Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 once I saw three men riding on a 50cc scooter (at the end of their day's shift, still wearing builders' clothing and bit drunk) driving out of a petrol station in mahasarakham, using the way in slip road as exit. They were faced with a Isuzu pick up coming in at speed, the look of surprise and fear in their faces was a sight to behold they shook on the bike, riding zig zag after avoiding frontal impact, for the next 10 meters or so. I thought they'd lose balance any moment. It was hilarious if not only for their utter surprise that a car should be driving the correct way in the station. Priceless
toptuan Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Saw the first one. The last two picked up from the internet....
Japhrodisiac Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 2 guys on two different motorbikes carrying each end of a large pole, maybe 8-10M long, and trying to do a u-turn on the main road in traffic. Really
yadetout Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Thailand can be very dangerous indeed as many truckers do not have any safety rules Check this out, it happened here in LOS http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=erFngeph3Y4 Be careful on bikes
BSJ Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Swanky: ^ Where was the dog riding? In the wicker basket the baby was holding....I guess! The pair with the pipe stuck through their bodies, in the end did the steel merchant charge them for the pipe?
