Prices For Electric Tuktuks?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am considering buying an electric tuktuk and asked for quotes by email (I am not in LOS for the moment). The only reply I received for now was from Tuktuk Thailand Co.Ltd (http:// www. thailandtuktuk .net/thailand-electric-tuktuk-.htm --plz remove the spaces as I cannot post functional links yet). They quoted 250 000 THB for the base version, with the possibility of installing 3 extra seats at the back for a total capacity of 6 persons. Isn't that price way above the usual prices for petrol-based tuktuks? I was expecting a 20-40% premium but come on, that's the price of a second-hand decent car! Do any of you have insights/companies/prices to share with me?

Cheers
