Best Alternative To Thailand For A Temporary Escape

Featured Replies

This is not about whether or not I agree with the PAD. I can live with the airport being shut down and some inconveniences but if it gets to the point where they start blocking roads and shutting down electricity and internet it's gone to far and I will need to leave Thailand until some order is restored. Any suggestions on the best choice for a neighboring country to set up shop, quickly and cheaply? All I would need is a basic place to sleep and internet access. I wasn't very happy with Cambodia last time I was there so Laos may be an option. Another issue for me personally is I am here on an ED visa but I could get a reentry permit that would allow me to leave for a few months if needed.

It looks like there will be an avalanche of PAD blah blah blah posts...enough to last us for at least 10 years.

I thought that this was a simple issue;

1] problems occur, go somewhere else.

2] problems occur, stay here & see what happens.

I think the PAD posts have reached their "common sense" limit.

You could move out of Bangkok to another city in Thailand. Lamphun meets all your criteria plus there are lots of pretty young ladies from all the factories here.
