What about Dean Windass to add a bit of goalpower up front? Within your price range as well....on a free. :D .Greetings reciprocated from West London.

The last time somebody made a statement like that was Khun Sunderland, making a ridiculous political statement :o

Now I do not know if indeed he lived upto his word and dropped his kecks, however, I will remember this statement of yours, and when my prediction comes true, you dont need to go to Woolies, just attend one of these football get togethers and I will make sure I am there to chair the auspicious "Debagging of StevieH" occasion. :D

honestly mate, if you sign casillas or kaka in the january window i'll stick to that.

you not rate joe hart or something? think he's a smashing young keeper and given another season or two as city's number one will be england's too.

I think it would be a big mistake signing a new keeper. Hart WILL be the next England keeper.

But I also think that Hughes is under pressure to bring in BIG, BIG names ASAP.

Whether he has got the wherewithall to make a good team out of them..thats the million dollar question.

We wait with baited breath as to whether your kecks are up or down :D

i imagine hughes is under pressure to do that yeah, but as anyone with any football knowledge knows, it doesn't always work that way. santa cruz would be a great signing but he's probably not 'glamourous' enough for the owners.

they need to realise that no really top player moves in january and certainly not to a side with no champions league football.

How times change, when I was a youth it used to be Lewis's window, presumably because it was the most prominent and public spot in town. But looks like the wheel may be about to turn full circle, assuming that Lewis's is still there, and the cock of the north is still on guard outside.

hammers have rejected 6m from spurs for bellamy so he'll probably end up going for about 8m. everyone knows hammers are in the <deleted> financially and can't afford to hold out for big bids.

I dont like him, however he is a classier version of Paul Dickov. He has at least got the 'never say die' attitude. Nasty pr#ck that he is, he has got pace and would offer City another option. Surely Mr BOJ, he would be an upgrade on Vassell?

If we didn't have money, i'd agree jack. But do we really want to be going after players like that? If so. then maybe i am deluded as to where our new owners want to take us to.

He's gonna have a problem showing his arse in Woolworths window. :D I think Teso would be okay though.

you need to walk before you can run though man, and bellamy's the sort of player that will help take you up a level. look at who ranieri bought with abramovich's first summer's cash as an example.

Of course we need to walk before we run but i just don't think Bellamy can give us more than we have already got. A straight swap for Vassel....maybe but to pay money......no. Go after someone who could make a difference.

However, if we do end up with him and he dons a blue shirt, i would be fully behind him :o

My beloved Wolves are in need of a tough commanding midfield player. Please if you have one, email Mick, he will be happy to receive your call.......................Thanks.

Yeah right, maybe in your World...

Bellamy, if you are to buy him, will cost you more than 12m as we've rejected 12m from the Y*ds & now you're in the hunt, the price goes ^^^..

Bellamy's a very good Player who would certainly improve a Team currently sitting 2 points off of a Relegation place, without a doubt & Hughes more than anyone else can get the best out of him, if he was to stay fit of course which is always a massive question mark..

West Ham have failed in a bid to sign Inter midfielder Luis Jimenez, according to the player’s agent.

http://www.setanta.com//uk/Articles/Foo ... nid-33456/

The 24-year-old Chile international has apparently been approached by West Ham as well as Sampdoria and Lecce, but his agent, Rocco Dozzini, says the Serie A champions have decided not to sell.

"Everybody is asking about Jimenez,” he told El Mercurio.

“That is quite normal because we are talking about an excellent player, but he will stay at Inter because they have decided he will not be transferred.

“Luis belongs to Inter and there is absolutely no chance he will leave."

He added: "West Ham, Sampdoria, Lecce call me every day.

"Inter are one of the five best teams in the world, alongside Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, so he will stay here."

Got to give Manu credit for the way they go about their business, first days of the transfer window and theyve quielty gone about getting 2 top youngens - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...utd/7808198.stm

Wish Newcastle would learn from them.

Newcastle have never learnt anything over the years in respect of the transfer market, in fact at one point they didn't even have a reserve teamn under 'King Kev' :o , but you are right United are as good model to follow. I wont mention though we have bought some crap over the years as well. :D

Delighted with that. Tosic is very highly rated, and has already played 12 internationals, so he is going straight into the squad.

Funny, as a couple of days ago the papers were reporting that the Tosic deal was dead, and Ferguson had said he would not be buying anyone. Well, two top rated young lads is the way to go.
