What's the point in a realistic wish?

So here goes.

It's been bluddy freezing today, minus ten I'm told, and I've been on a evaluation tour of Korean valve manufacturer's works and there's been barely a spark of heat in any of them. It's snowing right now so that doesn't bode well for the walk to the subway tomorrow morning.

So what I wish for is some TLC and warmth from a good woman (or girl ) or failing that a couple of not so good ones .

Christmas wishes don't come much more unrealistic than that.

I've already got my wish. I wasn't supposed to be going home until the middle of jan but my boss got a flight booked for me this morning and so i'm off tonight.

Can't wait to see my little girl, who i haven't seen since she was 2 weeks old

I haven't told the mrs yet either, so i'm just gonna turn up in the morning.

Eat plenty of garlic to keep warm.

And make sure the valve seating is the correct material for the medium you're transporting. They didn't down in Ca Mau - had to send the whole lot back to Korea!

I'd be happy with even as little as € 1.50 to the pound right now. Just got to Holland and the exchange rate with the pound is outrageous.

I feel cheated by half, compared to even 6 months ago.

The title to this thread has made me wish, nay demand, that I hear the Slade tune at least once during xmas.

If I hear it that'd make me happy, otherwise I might have to sing it myself.
