Obtaining Copy Logbook

Hi

New to this site so hope you can help.

My Father died this Summer and had a House/Truck in Thailand. We are in the process of getting this put into our names but are having difficulty with my Father's Thai girlfriend. She is due a percentage of his house which I have no problem with. Trouble is she wants at least half of house and half of everything else when she is due significantly less. She has taken everything out of the house, plasma TV, air con units ripped off wall etc.etc. We are trying to sell the Truck but she has taken the logbook and will not return it to us unless we make an agreement with her to get half of the money.

My question is has anyone ever had to get a copy of their logbook in Thailand. Just wondering whether you can go into Toyotas or wherever with proof of identity/death certificate and obtain copy of death certificate.
