Resident Visa

Featured Replies

Think of apply for a Thais resident visa. I know to apply cost about Bt7500(non refundable) and about 92,000 if approve, 100 per country(U.S. for me). Please advise of Good or Bad of having a resident visa. What are the chances of approval ??

It's around Baht 191.000.00 unless they are offering a 50% discount this month.

There are pros & cons to having "residence" status. One negative is that you have to get a re-entry permit each time that you leave the realm (if you are wanting to return)

It would be interesting though to know just how many farang have residence status.

For some more info from immigration website that may not be up to date according some. The marriage part is up to date IMO because it was changed after 2006 when they took out an option for money in the bank.
