Looking For A House Sitter

Featured Replies

My wife and I are going to the US from mid March to mid May this year and are considering a house sitter. Our 6 rai of land has two small houses (one new and nice, one older but OK with kitchen). It's very quiet, located about 10 minutes north of Bandu and about 20 minutes north of Chiang Rai city. The land is primarily a lamyai orchard, along with oranges, mangoes, and other trees. Responsibilities would be feeding and petting our two cats and watering gardens (takes about 15 minutes). We have reliable (for Thailand) ADSL internet and NO air conditioning. My wife's brother and his wife can stay here if necessary, so we will be pretty selective in choosing someone we don't know. If interested, send me a private message...

How do I send a private message?

Can't figure it out.

Click on the little down arrow next to his name in the left column & then go down to send message.

naaa, its okay, don't lose any sleep over it....perhaps the owner of the house might like to show you how to turn the tap on though :o just kidding :D

Yes, but beware. He will be very selective in choosing his house sitter. So be sure to wear your visa run clothes and speak with well grammar tomake a good impression.

Why not just contact housesitworld ,they will send you alist of vetted experienced housesitters in thailand or malaysia, free of charge, we use housesitters 2 or 3 times a year have never had a problem, a 2 month sit is no problem but you have left it late, 8 weeks warning is insufficient :o

I will reply to you directly on this, but wanted to add to this thread in case anyone else knew anyone else who knew someone :-)

I created a site (before finding this forum) in hopes that someone would come across it who needed house sitting from tow travelers from the US. We will be in Thailand in March (or early April) of next year, and hope to stay for 6 months during out world tour.

I was hoping to post a link to the site, but it won't let me here. Maybe I can post it on my profile.

Thank you to anyone who can help us along the way.
