chivo Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 the website shows a photo/illustration of it being done, but i don't know if its for real. anyone with first hand experience carrying a mtn bike inside the JAZZ with the back seats folded down? thanks
chivo Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 and if so, are two bikes possible? all this assuming the front wheel is removed from the bike.....
snowflake Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 You have to lay down the seats but no problem... The bikes that I have seen were dirty so I did not fancy putting them in...
Rimmer Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Take off front and rear wheels. Take out the seat post (if your bike does not have Q/R real hubs and Q/R seat post it is not a mountain bike) Turn the bike upside down and put in the bike so it is standing up on it's seat post and handlebars. (rear triangle first), Handlebars to the rear of the car. The handlbars stop it from falling over. Stack another two or three bikes the same way and put put the wheels between the frames to prevent them fighting with each other. If you do it right the tires being wider than the rims don't scratch the frames. There you have it. Mass transit for for MTBs Sorry about that but I used to own 5 bike shops!! snowflake Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 And that was the easy way! Great visual picture of myself trying to follow those simple steps... Someone would die along the road, might just strangle myself...
