Stay On Or Near The Beach For 3000 Bhat

Featured Replies

Can anyone help by recommending a decent hotel with sea views or very near a beach, preferably Patong beach but any other will be useful. We are new to Phuket so our minds are open.

We are looking to spend 3000 bhat a night. We are planing to visit Phuket on Friday 13th February 2009, in high season.

The hotel has to be clean, and safe. Is this possible?

Hi SirPaul

As a starting point, and until others can recomend a sure thing, try George's list pinned at the top of the Phuket Forum :-

Cheers & Good Luck

P.S. I'm not sure how upto date the prices are !

.

Is it best to book a hotel on the Internet, or can you get a good deal if you simply turn up and haggle the price a bit?

In my opinion the cheapest prices can be found on one of the Phuket Late booking web sites (just Google) over the following 2 weeks. If you target a decent mid range hotel and you turn up at reception then you will be offered the full price, with not much chance of negotiation as you are unlikely to be talking to the owner, just counter staff with no authority. You can usually negotiate at smaller private owned guesthouses.

Seagull Home Patong - its on the quiet end of the beach. Rooms are great all with a view over Patong Bay - has swimming pool.
