This story comes from Britain:

BOY dad Alfie Patten yesterday admitted he does not know how much nappies cost — but said: “I think it’s a lot.”

Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.

He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

Isn't this a case of three counts of child abuse?

Funny the father might need to take time off of school to attend his child's school.

OMG

he does indeed look under 10 years old

Where the fkc were their parents???

I feel ill.

It's quite shocking, I read it wide eyed, thinking it might be a spoof. Does the father have some sort of 'condition', I mean, he does look 8!

Maybe he wasn't really the father.

His own father is going to give him the birds and bees speech - a bit late for that, eh?

There was a wee girl here in Swissland who gave birth a few months ago at the age of 12. She was all over the press and TV etc.

And then there is that wierd woman in the States with her 8 babies....

The list goes on and on and on

Just imagine, if you gave birth at 12 you could be a grandmother by 24!

I think the way he looks quadruples the shock factor. Initially I cant imagine how a 15 year old girl would even date a 13 year old boy, let alone have sex with one. But on top of it all, she not only did all that, she did it with someone who looks 7 YEARS OLD!! I realise that it may not have just been a physical thing, they may have felt close to each other..but..God....

..<deleted> indeed. ....................

Just imagine, if you gave birth at 12 you could be a grandmother by 24!

Back at the beginning of the Seventies I had a 32-year-old comptometer operator working for me, who was a grandmother. And she was gorgeous!!

(No, I was married with a small daughter at the time, so I didn't)

Leaving aside the reason that Mrs Saddlebags was your employee/subordinate... :D:o

She worked under me, yes ......

Yes they both suffered from a 'condition' at the time of conception - they were possibly drunk or high or both?

Is this a sign that sex education in schools is working, 'cos their reproductive organs are.

My god-brother(!) is a grandfather twice over at 36. He became a granddad for the first time at 33. He was a dad at 15 & his daughter was 18 when she gave birth. Totally messed up. I had my first child at 32!!!

Just imagine, if you gave birth at 12 you could be a grandmother by 24!

And you'd see 8 generations by the time you were a 100. At four offspring by each generation, your clan would reach 262,144 people before you kicked the bucket.

Gives a new meaning to "breeding like rabbits". :o

Saw young Alfie interviewed on tv.

He was asked, "How are you going to provide for your family financially?"

His reply, "What's financially?"

His missus clued him in.

Yes, and it's been a bad week for German tourists...

There's more:

The sister of the British boy who has become a dad at 13 had a baby when she was the same age, according to reports.

Alfie Patten and his 15-year-old girlfriend Chantelle Stedman became parents to Maisie Roxanne this week, sparking debate in Britain over social decline.

But Alfie is not the first in his family to become a parent while still a child. His older sister Jade, now 19, also had a baby at the age of 13, the Daily Mail has reported.

Alfie lives with his mother in Sussex, east of London.

His father is separated from his wife but has nine children and was reportedly shocked when he found out his son was going to become a dad.

"He hasn't got a clue of what the baby means and can't explain how he feels," he was quoted as saying.

"When you mention money his eyes look away… all he knows is that mum and dad will help."

The baby was reportedly conceived when Alfie had sex for the first time, according to his father.

"He said it was the first time he'd had sex, that he didn't know what he was doing," he said.

But now Alfie regularly stays with the mother of the child, Chantelle Stedman, who lives with her benefit-dependent parents.

Chantelle's mother Penny said it was "lovely to have the baby" but admitted it was a big financial responsibility with five other children.

"But we are a family and will pull together and get through. She's my daughter," she said.

Meanwhile, rumours are circulating that Alfie is not the father of Chantelle's child, with neighbours claiming she "never has the same boyfriend for long".

"She knows lots of boys… we all think [Alfie] should have a DNA test," one was quoted as saying.

Boy dad Alfie agrees to DNA test

BOY dad Alfie Patten has agreed to have a DNA test to prove his is the father of his teenage girlfriend's child.

Alfie, 13 made headlines around the world last week when The Sun reported that he was the father of 15-year-old Chantelle Steadman’s baby girl Maisie.

But since then, two other boys have publicly claimed to be the father of the child.

Richard Goodsell, 16, a trainee chef, told the News of the World he had sex with Chantelle at her home at least three times at the time when she fell pregnant.

“I know I could be the father,” he said. “Everyone thinks I am. My friends all tell me that baby has my eyes - even my mum thinks so.

“Only a DNA test is going to sort this out properly. If I am the father, I have the right to know.”

Tyler Barker, 14, also fears he may have fathered little Maisie.

“I slept with Chantelle in her bed about nine months ago and I’m really worried I could be the father,” he told the News of the World.

“I hope it’s not me. All my mates have been teasing me about it but this isn’t funny, it’s serious.”

Both boys and their parents have made sworn statements in front of a solicitor detailing their nights of sex with Chantelle. They also claim they were not the only ones have unprotected sex slept with Chantelle around the time she conceived.

“We didn’t use any contraception,” Richard said. “It wasn’t my first time. But when we split up I found out that she was having sex with lots of other boys I knew.

“To be honest, any one of my mates could be the dad”.

After hearing the claims his girlfriend had been unfaithfull, Alfie stood firm on his claim to be Maisie's father.

He told The Sun: "Other stupid boys are lying, saying bad things, like they have slept with Chantelle too.

"But I am the only boyfriend she has had and we've been together for two years, so I must be the dad.

"When she found out she was having a baby, I asked her 'Am I the dad?' and she went 'Yeah' so I believe her.

"I didn't know about DNA tests before, but Mum explained it's when they do a swab in your mouth and it tells you if you're the dad.

"So, if I have that, they can all shut up. But I don't really care what people say. And I don't like them being bad about Chantelle."

Chantelle’s family insist she lost her virginity to Alfie and that Maisie is his. Alfie says the baby was conceived when he was just 12 after a single night of unprotected sex. Chantelle claimed she was on the Pill but forgot to take it.

Oh my word, it just gets worse and worse...

> But since then, two other boys have publicly claimed to be the father of the child. *

I should read the on-line reports rather than posting here, but isn't the British police even remotely interested in following up these claims *, the girl is only 15, was she 14 at the time the event took place?

Or are the police too busy celebrating other lifestyles?

----------------------------------------

Seems the police will not follow up the cas as there is noting to be gained. Not sending a message to other experimenting teens?

As for family financies: "Meanwhile, Alfie's father, Dennis, has negotiated media deals and paraded in a devil mask. " Link.

Doesn't this send a message to other kids that there's money to be had if you're the youngest parent?

the quaint English word "trollop" comes to mind.

Welfare as an occupation....you can start while you're at school.
