Muaythai In Chiang Rai

Featured Replies

Hello!

Are anybody aware of any MuayThai training camps, stadiums etc in Chiang Rai? I'm looking for a authentic experience, not these kind of gyms that you find in tourist areas etc. I look at gyms mainly aimed and made to build up local thai fighters. I'm making a report so, I will try visit several places in Thailand.

Yep. There's at least one gym that is really good for the real experience, which unfortunenately requires you to speak a bit of Thai. Not much I'm sure but it helps. Had a friend of mine training there for a year and he loved it because it was hardcore and no crapping around. The head trainer in there is the coach and trainer of most top guys that come out of Chiang Rai. And he is an old time champion himself.

I will email my friend for more info if you want to, don't know when I will get a reply but if you're interested let me know.
