Here`s a tip. Increase your budget slightly.

  • 2 weeks later...

Try Condotel/Uttarakit road. Don't know the monthly rate, but is relatively cheap (very basic). 10 minutes to night bazaar, but good neighbourhood with market & shops in the same street. Swimmingpool and yoga in the same building.

Morning Dew Lodge: 7000 baht excl. elect. and water, 1 x p.w. cleaning servicee, no breakfast.

1-3 weeks: negociable (500-550 baht per day, the rate now is 700 baht p.n.) Nice rooms (tilefloor though) + road is quiet noisy (ask for a room on the backside of the building)

In the same area: Baan Rub Aroon guesthouse. Very nice guesthouse with garden, kitchen, free use of computer, WiFi. Longterm stay is possible, email or call. Check out their website (google) Private rooms from 550 baht, dorm 6 beds 300.

About wifi: free wifi is easy to find, just open your notebook near a hotel or coffeeshop or something. Sometimes I see people sitting outside with their notebook.

Good luck!
