can anybody give me directions to the khemerat immigration office.............cheers

Hi Zoolander

Take Amnat to Khemarat Road......at Khemarat Hospital (on right hand side) turn left down main street......bus station is on right.

At end of main street turn right at traffic lights...(straight on will take you to Mekong riverside :D )

...maybe 500 metres from traffic lights on left hand side there is Fire Station with fire trucks etc.....turn left....Immigration is next

building on left hand side..........(straight on will also take you to Mekong riverside :D )

I have been going to Khemarat Immigration ever since a visit to Mukdahan Immigration :o

The boss at Khemarat is very helpful and accommodating but you will need to be patient as the office there until recently has had few

dealings with westerners. I suggest you take your thai partner for assistance.

Cheers

many thanks...............just been there today for my first extension to stay based on marriage. The boss is veryhelpful as you say and i go back next month. Documents i took were photo's of mrs and i inside and outside the house, 2 passport size photo's of me, 2 copies of passport-marriage cert-bank book-letter from bank confirming amount over last 60 days mrs id card-house book and map of where we live, plus the origionals. Took just under 3 hours and 1900 baht and the boss said we can expect a visit at our house within the next month. All in all very painless.

Are there any farang coffee shops/ places to eat as we could not find any................

Hi

I went to Khemarat Immigration in late January to convert my "TR" to an Non Imm "O". I got the first "O" from Khemarat for the year.

Possibly the first ever! :D

There are no farangs places to eat...the best I could find was noodles from 7/11 :o

Where do you live in Amnat?.......I live near Pla Khao.....maybe a beer might be the go.... :D

Cheers
