When i went home to Scotland for Xmas I weighed 52, I stayed a week and weighed myself everyday (I don't have scales here at home) and I put on 4 kilos in a week.

Even though Mama had a week off and it was me doing all the cooking. Except for the turkey...

But then I have always been a skinny person.

Square sausage? Tatie scones? Scotch pies?

Tatties, haggis, and a few chinky carry oots. I even brought back a couple of haggi here for the 31st. Still got wan in the freezer.... And of course the ubiquidous pie - served with beans on the top and the peas and chups beside. luverly.

I have been told the best pies are made in Kirkaldy? Accross that lethal bridge?

Scottish stodgy comfort food will do that too ya. haha! I used to love Sunday fried breakfasts, with tattie scones and fruit bread (oh my..i forgot what its called now!) I confess to even have enjoyed a fried pizza!

I've been slim, fat, really fat & now nearly back to slim again but I have a chronic illness that makes me realise that there really are much more important things to care about & couldn't give a crap anymore, so I'm glad you worked that out too Eek.

Sorry to sound all Cathartic, but yes, it was a bad time. I used exercise and extreme controlled eating as a way to deal with my long term breakup. Wasnt interested in men at all at that time, couldnt even bare anyone to look at me let alone touch me! Just at that time i thought i had lost everything that was important to me (I do realise people go through much much worse breakup wise). Thats really the reason why I decided to sell up and come over here. Sounds like such a cliche, but i really needed to get away from everything and take time to sort my head out. Anyway..I definitely have a much more healthy attitude toward food and exercise now..and much happier for it.
