A SHOCKED jury yesterday heard a tape of a teenager allegedly having sex with the family dog. Worried stepmum Tina Sharp hid a voice-activated recorder in the room with sheepdog Rosie in Eton Wick, Berks.

The six-minute tape — said to have picked up whining and a rhythmic thumping — was played to Reading Crown Court where Thomas Fletcher, 18, denies intercourse with the dog.

I remember seeing a documentary on bestiality. People even seem to have deep intimate relationships with their animals, beyond having sex with them. Was really odd watching people talk about they 'married' their horse and how they love each other like it was a normal everyday ok thing.

..As for the guy in the OP, wonder why the stepmum decided to record..what the heck made her suspect her stepson was having 'relations' with the dog. Something in the way he touched her? Ughh..! The mind boggles!

- not permitted within 300 metres of a kennels

- not to enter a pet shop unsupervised

- to report his address to the local pound

- to willingly submit to random searches for muzzles and leashes

It's interesting to note that on a number of other more general forums that carry this story the doggie puns are flowing thick and fast. You can imagine the boner jokes.

There is a picture (I believe) on one site I saw, I would be very surprised if there not were bill posters around his area before the week is out, and calls for a 'Rosie's Law'.

In an earier post I questioned if it was worth the court time, having read elsewhere that this case did not involve only one dog and was not an isolated incident I think a very public example is called for. I also think it questions the Child and Family Serviices department that placed the foster child in the family's care. Not the first case in recent weeks where the foster child has committed 'rape' to a family member, in the first case it was only a young child - so not worthy of headline news !

What boggles my mind is that the sounds reported on the tape were rythmic thumping and whining, not exactly dam_ning evidence of naughty goings on. Unless he is heard saying something like "Hey baaabbbbiiiiieeee, you want some real meat?" it's kind of circumstantial evidence. The dog's not pregnant is she?

If she is pregnant - can you imagine the pupchildrin. Spotty, sillky hairerd and with an attitude. And a sort of hoodie sort of thing.

And then the mum (like in America) gets a 400,000 pound kennel and a person to look after her brood and a 50 years supply of chewy toys.

Seems a bit of a strange way for the stepmother to react. I mean, why didn't she just walk in and confront him? Or, if she really wanted evidence, walk in with a video camera that was already rolling. She must hate the boy to actually seek evidence to take to the police. Not that I'm defending him, if he's guilty. I just have the impression that there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye.

Still, she must be relieved that at least he's heterosexual...
